What You’ll Do
As part of the Center for Business Innovation, the Business Intelligence Analyst functions as a bridge between internal and external business customers to brainstorm and develop both technical and functional solutions that innovate industry business processes supported and/or administered by the Union. This position will also produce reports for internal staff as well as external entities, assist in the creation and maintenance of Business Intelligence applications, and also perform SQL queries on Oracle and MS-SQL servers and utilize data from various other sources such as Excel, Sheets, etc.

Evaluate internal opportunities for process / technical improvements
Conduct business evaluation / ROI analysis where applicable
Develop business plans and strategy
Meet with internal departments to gather requirements, research and or / design solutions, and build, test, implement and train on solutions.
Communicate functional requirements to internal IT staff and / or consultants and oversee the development of the solution when applicable.
Develop wireframes and process flow diagrams.
Develop formal documentation including, but not limited to project plans, schedules, requirements and test plans.
Develops, implements and supports Business Intelligence applications
Works with business users, developers and other IT staff to gather requirements for ad hoc and scheduled reporting needs
Performs SQL queries as needed to fulfill reporting requirements
Assists DBA’s with data gathering, loading and reporting of data from multiple sources
Optimize SQL on existing and future Business Intelligence applications
Troubleshoot and support existing applications where necessary.
Communicate progress to management and other interested parties.
Performs other duties as assigned.

Strong experience with relational databases required
Strong experience in Business Intelligence required
Experience in Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets required
Experience with Oracle and Microsoft SQL Databases preferred
Experience with Structured Query Language (SQL) required
Experience with Qlikview and Qlik Sense preferred
Experience with technical documentation a plus
Experience with systems documentation such as Requirements, Design, and Test Plans. • Experience with Google Workspace applications. (Docs, Sheets, Slides, etc) • Ability to organize meetings and deliver effective presentations to all levels.
Ability to assess risks, and to provide remediation plans
Ability to work well in a team environment and under pressure.
Able to communicate effectively in English, both orally and in writing.

Must be available and willing to work extended hours per day or week, including weekends and holidays, as SAG-AFTRA determines is necessary to meet its business needs.
Must be available and willing to travel to such locations and with such frequency as SAG-AFTRA determines is necessary or desirable to meet its business needs.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Education and/or Experience:
Bachelor’s degree a plus
3 years of experience in business analysis required
PREFERRED BACKGROUND:
Working knowledge of the entertainment industry and/or with unions preferred.
Experience with G-Suite, including Slides, Sheets, etc. preferred.
Experience with office and/or building management preferred.
